Instructions
Make the Cinnamon Apples: In a small pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped apple, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sauté for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft, released juices, and caramelized. Set aside and keep warm.
Assemble the Toast: Take three slices of milk bread. Spread peanut butter between two layers to form a sandwich with three stacked slices (peanut butter in between each). Optional: Trim off the crusts for that classic HK-style look.
Prepare the Batter: In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Dip the sandwich into the mixture, making sure all sides are well coated but not soaked through.
Deep-Fry the Toast: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat (about 1–1½ inches deep). Carefully fry the toast for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
Assemble & Serve: Top the crispy French toast with the warm cinnamon apples. Drizzle with maple syrup or condense milk and dust with powdered sugar if you’d like.
