In a bowl, add chicken and season with 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tbsp of five-spice powder, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, and 2 tbsp of oil. Mix and massage the chicken for 2-3 minutes.
Place the chicken in an air-fryer, spray the air-fryer with oil to prevent the chicken from sticking. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air-fryer. Make sure to not over crown the chicken so the chicken becomes extra crispy. Air Fry the chicken at 370F for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, air fry at 400F for another 7-10 minutes, or until chicken is crispy and golden brown.
In a pot, add in soy sauce, honey, garlic, and five-spice powder. Bring it to a simmer at medium heat and let it cook for 3-5 minutes. Mix 2 tsp of corn starch with 3 tbsp of cold water, pour the corn starch mixture in the sauce, and let it simmer for another 1 minute or until it thickens.
In a big bowl, add crispy chicken wings and pour on the sauce (adjust the saucey level to your liking), add 1 tbsp of sesame seeds, and toss everything together. Garnish with green onion, and enjoy!
