There is no better way to eat these sticky, crispy Air Fryer Soy Sauce Chicken Wings than with your fingers.
My mom and I played around in the kitchen one day when we were too lazy to cook and wanted to utilize the condiments we already had at home. We were both so surprised with how delicious these chicken wings were, and we knew instantly we had to share this recipe!
I played around with 3-4 other methods, but I am super excited to share our final recipe that I know you will love! It is funny how the best recipes always come when you least expect them. This just shows that there is never a “right way” to cook in the kitchen; just have fun and trust your instincts!
The secret to my super delicious Air Fryer Soy Sauce Chicken Wings recipe is the GLAZE.
The glaze is savory, sweet, and is also super umami and addicting. All you need is four simple ingredients – Soy Sauce, Honey, Five-spice Powder, and Garlic. I highly recommend using a high-quality soy sauce brand as it will instantly elevate the dish. If you don’t want to use honey, you can also substitute it with brown sugar.
This glaze will taste good with ANYTHING! If you are vegetarian, I highly recommend replacing the chicken with firm tofu, and it will be super delicious.
I am using the Air-fryer today to get EXTRA CRISPY Soy Sauce Chicken Wings; however, if you don’t have an air-fryer, you can also use the oven or the pan as well.
If you are using the oven, bake at 370 F for 20 minutes (flip in 10 minutes) and 400F for 10 Minutes (flip in 5 minutes). If you are using a pan, just pan-fry at medium-high heat for around 10 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Did you just do one layer or chicken wings in the air fryer? Is it ok if it touches each other or stacks on each other?
This recipe was SO easy and so tasty! Highly recommend. My air fryer seems to cook things a bit faster so I lowered the time to 4 mins for browning them more. Will definitely make these again!
