My favorite thing to order when I visit Mcdonald’s in Taiwan is their Creamy Corn Soup. Super creamy, sweet, and savory, Taiwanese Creamy Corn Soup is a must-try recipe this fall! I recommend dipping spicy Korean Garlic Bread into the soup for the PERFECT weeknight dinner. Taiwanese Creamy Corn Soup is vegetarian-friendly, healthy, and affordable, perfect for students and busy families. It has taken me a few years to master the famous McDonald Creamy Corn soup, so I can’t wait for you to try it!
Turn the heat up to medium-high, and in a pot, add 2 tbsp of butter. Once butter is melted, add in onion and saute for 3-4 minutes or until translucent.
Add in 1 can of creamed-style corn and mix for 1-2 minutes.
Pour in chicken stock and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.
In a new pot, add in 3 tbsp of butter and 3 tbsps of flour. Mix until smooth
Slowly pour in 2.5 cups of cream or milk and mix until there is no lump and a thicker consistency.
Strain the corn and onion mixture into the pot, add sweet corn and mix until everything is smooth.
Salt and pepper to taste, ENJOY!!
