My favorite thing to order when I visit Mcdonald’s in Taiwan is their Creamy Corn Soup.
Super creamy, sweet, and savory, Taiwanese Creamy Corn Soup is a must-try recipe this fall!
I recommend dipping spicy Korean Garlic Bread into the soup for the PERFECT weeknight dinner.
Taiwanese Creamy Corn Soup is vegetarian-friendly, healthy, and affordable, perfect for students and busy families.
It has taken me a few years to master the famous McDonald Creamy Corn soup, so I can’t wait for you to try it!
When I immigrated to Canada, one of the dishes I missed the most from Taiwan was McDonald’s Creamy Corn Soup.
It is the ultimate comfort food that is a popular item in Taiwan’s McDonald’s menu.
I was determined to remake it, and after a few trials and errors, this is the perfect copycat recipe that tastes just like the famous Creamy Corn Soup from Taiwan’s McDonalds!
The secret to extra creamy and flavourful Creamy Corn Soup is to blend the onion and corn first.
By merging all the ingredients, the flavor of the onion and corn becomes smooth while not overpowered by the cream.
I like to use either Lee Kum Kee Chicken Bouillon Soup base or Knorr Homestyle Vegetable stock. Make sure to season the soup based on how salty your soup is of choice.
I am making a Vegetarian-friendly version for my Creamy Corn Soup, but you can also add protein and other vegetables.
I like to add shredded chicken or ham to add protein and potato to make the soup more filling.
If you want to add in any protein, make sure to add it AFTER you blend the cream of corn, onion, and soup mixture.
You can also add additional toppings such as fresh chives, black pepper, shredded cheese, or garlic bread.
