Drain the tofu and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Coat the tofu in tapioca starch and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan; once the oil is hot, add tofu and deep-fry for 6-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
Add minced garlic, black vinegar, vegetarian oyster sauce, chopped green onion, crushed cumin, Korean red chili flakes, sesame seeds, sugar, and chopped cilantro in a bowl.
Heat 4 tbsp of oil, and drizzle the hot oil over the bowl. Mix till everything is combined.
Drizzle the sauce all over the crispy tofu, and garnish with green onion and cilantro.
