Extra Fluffy Cheesy Garlic Dinner Roll

These Extra Fluffy Cheesy Stuffed Garlic Bread was the perfect bread to go with the rest of my 6 course Christmas feast. Garlicky, fluffy bread stuffed with TONS of melty, warm cheese, this stuffed dinner roll recipe is a lot easier than it seems. Inspired by the base dough of my cinnamon roll, the texture of this garlic bread comes out so fluffy. It's perfect way to wipe up all the tasty morsels of prime rib on our holiday feast plate.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- ½ cup warm water
- 1.5 tsp dry yeast
- 2 eggs Whisked
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- Cheese of Choice Cubed
- 1 egg whisked, for egg wash
Garlic Butter
- ½ Cup Butter
- 2 tablespoon Garlic
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Cup Chopped Parsley
Instructions
- Combine flour, yeast, egg, salt, and butter in your stand mixing bowl
- Using a stand mixer with a bread hook, mix on low until dough is formed.
- Remove the dough and form it into a ball shape, set back in bowl and cover to rest for 1 hour.
- After the dough has doubled in size, remove from bowl and cut into 12 evenly sized pieces.
- Take one piece and gently flatten it with your fingers, take the edges and fold them in until you form a ball.
- Flatten the ball again, add in cubes of your favorite cheese to the middle.
- Seal the ball of dough by gathering the edges towards the middle and pinch tightly closed.
- Flip seam side down and place in greased pan or dish about 1/2 inch apart.
- Rest for at least 1 hour or overnight in the fridge before baking.
- If resting overnight, place on counter 2 hours prior to baking to bring the dough back to room temperature.
- Before baking, brush buns with egg wash.
- Bake on 350 for 20 minutes
- Melt butter, garlic, salt, and parsley in a small saucepan over low heat until combined.
- Brush baked buns with melted garlic butter after removing from oven. Serve warm
