You would be surprised how easy and quick it is to make Black Pepper Steak sauce with only a few simple ingredients that you already have at home. What is a better way to start the weekend than a big sizzle plate for Taiwanese Black Pepper Steak?
In a pot, add in 3 tbsp of butter and turn the heat up to medium. Once the butter is melted, add in minced shallots and grated garlic. Mix for 2-3 minutes
Add in black pepper and mix till combined.
Add in oyster sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and let it simmer on medium heat for another 2 minutes. Set aside
In a pan or hot plate, drizzle in oil and turn the heat up to medium-high. Once the pan is hot, add thin slices of beef and lightly season with salt and pepper.
Add the rice in the middle and add any topping of your corn and green onion choices.
Once the beef is 75% cooked (should take less than 3 minutes), pour on the sauce. Depending on how you like your steak cooked, mix everything once your steak is at your desire doneness and enjoy!
