If you have leftover Char Siu BBQ Pork from dinner last night, here’s a super quick BBQ Pork Lo Mein 叉燒撈麵 that will make an easy lunch! This simple bowl of noodles has protein, carb, and veggies, which is everything I need in one bowl after a long training run. It’s slightly sweet, savory, and aromatic thanks to that delicious lo mein sauce made with vegetarian oyster sauce, and super fragrant kai dong Golden Shallot Oil. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to make this classic Hong Kong Cafe dish right at home.
In a pot of boiling water, cook the noodles according to package instructions. At the same time, cook the bok choy until fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Set aside the drained noodles, vegetables, and the hot noodle water.
In a bowl, mix together Four Season Scallion Sauce, Golden Shallot oil, Vegetarian Oyster Sauce, white pepper, and a scoop of hot water from cooking the noodles. Mix until combined.
Add in noodles and toss until evenly coated.
Top with sliced BBQ pork and blanched bok choy, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve.
