Honey Soy Glazed Carrots is the perfect appetizer for this holiday season and a quick recipe to add more vegetables to your diet; plus, it ONLY takes 10 minutes to make at home.

Honey Soy Glazed Carrots is the perfect recipe if you want to get your partner or kids to eat more vegetables!

I’ve been on a health kick by adding more vegetables to my diet, and these Honey Soy Glazed carrots are the perfect recipe!

The fiber in carrots can help keep blood sugar levels under control, plus carrots are packed with vitamin A and beta-carotene!

You can use any carrots of your choice, I like to use peeled organic carrots, but baby carrots will also work too! The most crucial step when preparing carrots is salting the water.

Blanch the carrots for 3 minutes, and let them rest in ice water. This will give the carrots a nice crunchy texture.

The star of my honey soy glazed carrots is my sauce, which only takes 3 minutes to make!

You only need soy sauce, honey, butter, and red chili flakes. You can skip the red chili flakes if you don’t like spice.

The soy sauce is the secret ingredient, which gives the sauce a savory and umami flavor.

This sauce honestly tastes fantastic with everything, and you can also use it with broccoli, asparagus, and even potatoes!

Honey Soy Glazed Carrots

Ingredients 

  • 500g carrots, peeled 
  • 4 tablespoon honey 
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce 
  • 0.5 tablespoon red chili flakes (optional) 
  • 2 tablespoon butter 
  1. Fill a pot with water, and season with salt (around 0.5 tablespoons); once the water is boiling, add in the carrots and blanch for 3 minutes. Rest in ice water. 
  2. Add honey, soy sauce, red chili flakes, and butter. Turn the heat to medium-high and bring it to a simmer. 
  3. Simmer for 2 minutes and add back in the carrots. Saute on high heat for another 2 minutes.

Materials
