Must Do for Crunchy Glazed Carrots
It’s a simple vegetable, but carrots are actually a superfood. The fiber in carrots can help keep blood sugar levels under control. Plus, carrots are packed with vitamin A and beta-carotene! You can use any carrots of your choice, I like to use peeled organic carrots, but baby carrots will also work too!
The most crucial step when preparing carrots is salting the water. Blanch the carrots for 3 minutes, and let them rest in ice water. This will give the carrots a nice crunchy texture.

Honey Soy Glaze
The star of my honey soy glazed carrots is my sauce, which only takes 3 minutes to make! You only need soy sauce, honey, butter, and red chili flakes. If you’re not a fan of spicy like me, skip the red chili flakes. The soy sauce is the secret ingredient, which gives the sauce a savory and umami flavor. This sauce honestly tastes fantastic with everything, and you can also use it with broccoli, asparagus, and even potatoes!

How To Make Soy Glazed Carrots

These were absolutely delicious
Thank you! What a delicious way to incorporate carrots as an actual side dish into your meals! I was little worried that the glaze was going to be too thin, but it turned out to be just perfect. All 3 generations of the family loved it!
So easy and so yummy! An absolute hit with the family!
Absolutely loved these carrots! I am making them again for thanksgiving and wondering if I can make ahead? Better to reheat completed dish or blanch carrots and glaze a la minute?
Hi Linda, So happy you loved them! You can make ahead either way.
It is easier to fully cook, then reheat with a splash of water or extra butter to loosen the glaze. But, for better texture, you can also blanch in advance, then glaze right before serving.
