Gut Health Holy Grail Matcha Chia Lemonade
It’s summertime, and nothings more refreshing than my new hyperfixation: a healthy matcha chia lemonade. I had so many request asking for this matcha chia seed lemonade recipe, so let make it together!
My goal recently has been to up my fiber intake, and this chia drink is my gut health holy grail. Matcha, lemon, and chia seed are packed with so much antioxidants, so thank me later if you give this a try. I promise you your skin and your gut will love you forever, because this is the ultimate drinkable skin care!

Matcha Chia Lemonade Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cup water for soaking chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp Matcha Powder
- 1/4 cup hot water for whisking matcha
- 1-2 tsp honey adjust to taste
- Ice
Lemonade

- 3/4 cups cold water
- 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup, to taste

Chia Seeds
Chia Seeds are the reason why this drink is so gut friendly. High in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus, these superfood seeds support healthy digestion.
When soaked in water, chia seeds absorbs up to 10x its weight, expanding into little gel bubbles. The gel-like texture also helps you stay fuller longer, and promote a balanced gut microbiome.

My Matcha Routine
Matcha is the perfect base for this healthy drink because it’s packed with antioxidants, especially EGCG. It supports skin health by fighting inflammation and oxidative stress, and gives a clean energy boost without the crash
High quality ceremonial grade matcha tea, like my go-to matcha brand Ippodo Tea, is an investment, but it makes a huge difference. It has a beautiful vibrant green colour with a creamier flavour. There’s something about whisking the perfect matcha consistency that really gets me zoned in and focused.

Homemade Lemonade
I’m using homemade lemonade for this drink, which has the juice of a whole lemon. Lemons are naturally high in vitamin C, which helps brighten skin and support collagen production. For someone who’s keeping hydration in mind during marathon training, lemonade helps replenish water and vitamin C quickly.
