The BEST Honey Ginger Chicken

Honey Ginger Chicken

One of my favorite easy weeknight dinners is my better-than-takeout Honey Ginger Chicken.

Honey Ginger Chicken is made with fresh ginger, garlic, honey, and soy sauce and has a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

You need to try this Honey Ginger Chicken recipe because I promise you will want to make this for dinner all the time.

Honey Ginger Chicken

Nothing is better than Honey Ginger Chicken for a delicious weeknight dinner.

Easy, affordable, and made with accessible ingredients that you can find at your local supermarket. My secret to juicy chicken is always to use boneless chicken thighs with the skin on.

Watch my video on YouTube, where I share my step-by-step instructions on de-bone a chicken thigh in less than 2 minutes!

ginger glazed

Honey Ginger Chicken is one of my favorite things to order at Chinese restaurants; it is a classic household favorite dish.

If you are vegetarian, replace chicken with tofu, which will be just as delicious. The sauce is SUPER easy to make at home, all you have to do is mix honey, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce, and that’s it!

If you can consume alcohol, you can also add in sake.

We will be pan-frying the chicken first for the crispy skin on Honey Ginger Chicken.

That way, the chicken oil will be infused with the sauce giving it an extra layer of flavor. I am using corn starch today to make Honey Ginger Chicken to keep the chicken gluten-free. Other gluten-free flours you can use are tapioca starch and rice flour.

The corn starch will help lightly coat the protect the chicken, ensuring the inside stays nice and crispy! All you need is a thin layer, dust off any excess, and that’s it!

About Me
Hi! I am Tiffy and I am a HUGE foodie. I love to cook, I love to eat, and I love sharing what I love with the world.
I was born in Taiwan, a country with some of the best street food in the world. When I think back to my childhood, I remember all the fantastic restaurants my dad brought me to when I was young. You see, my family is also huge foodies; we use to wander around night markets every weekend, skip the last period in class to try out new restaurants, and every summer, we would travel around Taiwan exploring all the new “must try” dishes around the country.
