I combine my love for seafood and mushrooms to make Ginger Glazed Oyster Mushrooms.
We use King Oyster mushrooms to give the mushroom a “meat-like” texture.
Cut the mushroom into bite-size pieces, so the mushroom is easy to consume.
Scoring the mushroom will also help it absorb all the delicious glaze and give it a scallop-like look.

The star of my Ginger Glazed Oyster Mushroom is the sauce.
The sauce is the perfect balance between sweet and savory, which will have you eating bowls and bowls of rice.
All you need to make the Ginger Glazed Oyster Mushroom sauce is Soy Sauce, fresh ginger, minced garlic, black pepper, and honey.

Ingredients
- 5 large King Oyster Mushrooms, sliced 1.5 inches thick
- Salt and Pepper
Ginger Glazed Sauce
- 1 tbsp of ginger (freshly grated)
- 3 cloves of Garlic (grated)
- 2.5 tbsp of Honey
- 3.5 tbsp of Soy Sauce
- 0.5 tsp of Black Pepper
- Cut the mushroom into 1.5 inch thick pieces and score the mushroom on both sides.
- Season the mushroom with salt and pepper.
- Mix freshly grated ginger, honey, garlic, soy sauce, and black pepper in a bowl.
- In a pan, drizzle in oil, and turn the heat to medium-high. Once the pan is hot, add the mushroom and pan-fries for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Drizzle on the sauce and let it simmer on high heat for another 2-3 minutes
- Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds, and enjoy!
