Sharing My Night Time Routine
I’ve always struggled with dry skin, but this past year I’ve been doing this night time skin care routine and it shows. I’ve been getting so many requests about my routine! My skin has been so steady and so happy these past few months, despite frequent travels, late nights, and tons of running.
To really know what products to use for a multi-step skin care routine, it’s best to understand what each step does. Then, you test out the products that fit with your skin. Here’s all the products I’ve been using and testing for my skin!
1. Remove Makeup
Since I put on makeup everyday, the first step of my routine is always to remove my makeup. It’s really nothing fancy. I usually just use any makeup remover that I have on hand. Currently, it’s the Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover, which gets rid of all my waterproof eyeliner and mascara especially easily.

Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover
Instantly removes eye makeup, even waterproof, without any greasy effect.
- Contains cornflower extract with soothing properties and provitamin B5 to protect eyelashes.
- XXL packaging formats, classic or mini, for everyday, occasional or travel make-up removal.
- Clinically proven tolerance; Ophthalmologically tested formula, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
2. Double Cleanse
Step two is washing my face. I usually do this in the shower, and I always double cleanse. The key is really washing it twice thoroughly to remove the rest of your makeup residue and clean out all your pores. I’m constantly switching up my face wash, but honestly, I don’t think the brand really matters as much as long as it is clean.

MA:NYO Deep Pore Cleaning Soda Foam
- Deep Cleansing: Mild foam cleanses impurities and controls oil without over-drying skin.
- Nourishing Ingredients: Green tea leaf and papaya enzymes nourish skin.
- Effective Exfoliation: Removes impurities and dead skin cells without over-drying.

3. Serum
Next, I use my VT Costmetics Cica Reedle Shot serum. Serums help add concentrated active ingredients to your skin to improve your skin. Their benefits can range from calming acne-prone skin to antiaging, depending on the active ingredients you pick.
I’ve been using the Reedle Shot 100 for a couple months now, and it’s seriously helped make my skin so much brighter, smoother, and more even.

VT Cosmetics CICA Reedle Shot 100
- [Step Zero to Glass Skin] Start your skincare routine with Reedle Shot as the “Zero Step”. It gently removes impurities and supports your skin’s natural renewal process, revealing a clearer, glass-like complexion without residue.
- [Propolis Extract for Recovery and Protection] Helps soothe and regenerate the skin after microneedling, while strengthening the skin barrier and protecting against environmental damage.
- [For All Skin Types] Formulated to suit even sensitive and blemish-prone skin.
4. Toner or liquid Lotion
My skin is definitely on the drier side, so hydration is my most important step. Cleansing your skin can often strip away surface moisture, so this step really helps replenish! I use a toner, or liquid lotion, to rehydrate my skin after washing. I make sure to relayer it 2-3 times to make sure it fully absorbs into my skin.
The Cle de Peau Hydro-Softening Essence Lotion is my absolute favorite. I’ve been using it for 2 years now, and honestly, I cannot live without it.

Cle De Peau Hydro-softening essence lotion
- Deeply hydrates and plumps skin.
- Improves roughness and brightness.
- Diminishes the look of fine lines while smoothing skin.
- Provides gentle exfoliation benefits when applied with Cotton.
5. Sheet Mask (2-3x a week)
If I do have extra time, I’ll do a sheet mask about 2-3 times a week after toner. I love doing sheet masks because in 15 minutes my skin just gets deep hydration that it really needs. Sheet masks take a little longer, so I do them while I’m reading before bed. But today, I’m just keeping it really simple.

Kose Japan Sorry Bare Skin Sheet Mask
With Sorry Bare Skin better than sleeping sheet masks, you get benefits of 8 hours of sleep from 8 minutes of application. The pink one is a hydrating one that I find works so well keeping my skin hydrated throughout the winter. I find that this one really soothes my really really dry sensitive skin when I’m traveling.

Ishizawa Lab Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask
The Keana Rice Mask is another classic Japanese sheet best-seller mask, I find that they’re really affordable and really hydrating. If you like rice sheet mask, which is really good for lightening the skin, hydrating, and exfoliating. It doesn’t have a very strong fragrance, so it’s perfect for someone who’s sensitive to smells.
This is my favorite brand, and I buy this whenever I’m in either Taiwan or Japan.
6. Night Time Lotion
After hydrating, I lock the moisture in my skin with some night time lotion. Toner and sheet masks hydration evaporates from your skin quickly. This step keeps them in, allowing for deeper, lasting hydration and protection of your skin barrier through the night. This Cle de Peau Advanced Intensive Night Cream is another holy grail product for me. I’ve used it for 2 years now!

Cle De Peau Advanced Intensive Night Cream
- Deeply hydrates and plumps skin.
- Improves elasticity and brightness.
- Diminishes the look of pores, fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing skin.
7. Lifting Cream
I then finish everything off with a thicker lifting cream. This heavier cream really locks all the moisture overnight, and also firms and lifts the skin. It helps my skin feel super soft and plump in the morning! I’m currently using the Bioheal BOH Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream.

Bioheal BOH Probioderm 3D lifting Cream
- [ENHANCED 3D LIFTING TECHNOLOGY FOR VISIBLE RESULTS] Firm, lift, and volumize key areas on the face with our specialized formula that delivers three-dimensional improvements in length, swelling, and volume.
- [POWERED BY PROBIOTICS FOR SKIN STRENGTH] Infused with BIOHEAL BOH’s exclusive Probioderm ingredient, this cream enhances elasticity and reinforces the skin barrier for long-lasting results.
