Every summer, I crave my Crispy Pork Belly Lettuce wrap, which is super refreshing and filling.
I customize it with any side dishes I have in the fridge, such as Taiwanese Cucumber Salad, Korean Cucumber Salad, Korean Spinach Salad, or Taiwanese Pickled cabbage.
There are lots of delicious and easy side dishes featured on my blog post that you can make as meal prep in the summer, and I also have a Youtube video where I share my pickled cabbage recipes that can last up to 10 days in the fridge!

The seasoning to make Crispy Pork Belly Lettuce Wrap is super easy!
All you need is five-spice powder, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt and pepper, sesame seeds, and soy sauce. It is the perfect combination of savory, spicy, and umami.
You can also add white pepper and ground Sichuan peppercorn to give it an extra spicy kick. Marinate the pork belly for at least 10 minutes, but you can also marinate it overnight. You can swap pork with chicken or beef if you don’t eat pork.

I love either pan-frying the pork belly on the stovetop or you can cook them on a bbq.
Either way works well. Pan-fry the pork belly for around 3-4 minutes on each side or until crispy and golden brown.
Wrap the pork belly inside a piece of lettuce along with any side dishes of your choice. I love to wrap add around 1-2 tablespoons of rice to the lettuce wrap to make it extra filling! Pan-fry and wrap as you go so the pork belly stays nice and crispy!
