These tender, garlicky beef cubes are super addicting and the ultimate crowd pleaser!
If you love garlic and you love steak, these Garlic Steak Bites will blow your mind. Every single cube is the perfect bite; this dish is perfect for garlic lovers like me! One of my favorite summer recipes is healthy and packed with protein and paired with a side of rice, Japanese Ginger salad, and Asian Honey Garlic Potato for the perfect meal.
The first time I’ve ever tried Garlic Steak Bites was at Taiwanese Nightmarket Stalls.
I love how easy it is to eat and how every bite is super flavourful. Depending on your diet, you can adjust the amount of butter and sodium. I also love adding fresh herbs in the summer, such as thyme, sage, and rosemary.
The key to the BEST Garlic Steak Bites is to ensure that the beef is not overcooked and is tender and juicy. Because the steak is cut into small cubes, it is really easy to overcook the meat.
Here are my secrets to SUPER TENDER Beef:
- The first one is baking soda. I got this secret from a good friend who works at a Chinese restaurant; it is honestly a game-changer. No more eating tough beef at home, and hello to juicy, tender, silky beef!
- The second tip is cutting against the grain. Always cut against the grain, so the meat doesn’t become over chewy. With this tip, it doesn’t matter what type of steak you get; it will turn out perfect every time!
I am using Angus Beef Chuck Flat, but you can use any cut to make these Garlic Steak Bites.
I recommend using a cut with more marbling and fat such as sirloin, tenderloin, or rib-eye, as the beef will be more tender. Depending on how well done you prefer your beef, you can also adjust the cooking time.

Uhummm, 10 out of 10 delicious. Showed this to my husband last night and he was really enthusiastic about it so made it tonight since I had everything and wow. So yum!!
Is it ok to marinate the steak longer – like around 3-4 hours?
Yes ❤️❤️ Happy cooking!
