Back with another 20-MINUTE DINNER, Sizzling Pork Belly Plate.
If you don’t have time but want a delicious and easy dinner, you must try my Sizzling Pork Belly.
The sauce is the perfect balance between savory and sweet and will get you craving for more. Enjoy with rice or udon noodles, plus my go-to, FRIED EGG.

I went to dinner with my in-laws last week, and my father-in-law ordered Sizzling Pork Belly Plate; I instantly regretted my order.
The pork belly was super tender, the sauce was addicting, and it was honestly the perfect dinner. When I got home, I knew I had to recreate the Sizzling Pork Belly, but make it easy and quick.
After a few attempts, I am proud to say; that this is an identical copycat recipe that takes less than 20 minutes to make at home!

All you need to make the sauce for Sizzling Pork Belly Plate is soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and the secret ingredient, DASHI POWDER.
Dashi powder instantly elevates the sauce and provides the sauce with an umami flavor. If you have never used dashi powder before, a little goes a long way and is super affordable.
I have tons of recipes that utilize dashi powder, so if you choose to get it, there are tons of recipes ready for you!

You can enjoy Sizzling Pork Belly Plate with rice or noodles.
Once the pork is cooked, move a well in the middle and add cooked rice or noodle.
Topped with fried egg, and set everything on the sizzling plate for 2-3 minutes; the rice will become super crispy at the bottom, adding amazing texture.
After 2-3 minutes, mix everything so the rice is coated in the sauce and pork belly. For noodles, you can use chow mein noodles, udon noodles, or shanghai noodles. I like udon noodles since it soaks up all the sauce, making it super delicious!
