To celebrate another successful kai dong restock, I’d like to share 4 simple recipes using kai dong products that I personally love to make when I only have 20 minutes to make a meal: Hot and Sour Dumplings, 10 Minute Noodle Soup, Asian Shredded Chicken, and a quick Bok Choy.

kai dong Sauces: My Time Crunch Life Saver

I found myself reaching for kai dong sauces the most when I am low on time. Life gets busy, but I’d still like a full, yummy meal. Whether its a quick lunch mid-workday or making Dom a bowl of noodles when he gets home, kai dong sauces helps me create great flavors without spending a lot of time deciding what to add.

10-Minute Mama’s Chili Oil Hot and Sour Dumpling

If you want to spice up your day, try making my hot and sour dumplings that take less than 10 minutes to make! Hot and Sour Dumplings is one of my favorite ways to enjoy dumplings. The sour and spicy soup wakes up your tastebuds and warms you right up! I’m using my frozen homemade dumplings today, but you can also use frozen store bought dumplings too!


Spice Up Your Meals Effortlessly

From Hot and Sour Dumplings to Spicy Tofu, Mama’s Chili Oil will be the new favorite condiment in your fridge!


Hot and Sour Dumplings Ingredients

  • 1.5 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp four season scallion sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp mamaโ€™s chili oil (adjust your spice tolerance)
  • 1 tsp roasted sesames
  • 1 tsp dashi powder, chicken powder, vegetable soup powder
  • Chopped Green onion and cilantro
  • 2 cups of hot dumpling water
  • 10-15 dumplings
