New Matcha Routine and My Parents’ Garden Harvest
A new routine after grief looks a bit different—journaling, going on walks, cooking yummy food, and spending time with loved ones. This week, I’ve started a daily matcha routine to help me stay grounded and mindful. Finding happiness again after loss is slow, but I am getting better. It’s about finding the things that put a smile on my face, like making myself a matcha latte before a day of garden harvest and cooking. It’s currently soup season, so we made tons of comforting soups featuring tomatoes from my parents’ garden.
Homemade Strawberry Jam for Matcha Latte
The best part about drinking a Strawberry Matcha Latte is the chunk of tart strawberries in a sip of creamy matcha. This fruity latte recipe uses the Fresh Strawberry Jam from our Korean Strawberry Milk recipe with only four simple ingredients: fresh strawberries, honey, sugar, and lemon juice. Make it in bulk and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
If you prefer to use fresh fruit, you can also simply muddle up some fresh strawberries at the bottom of your glass, and add your favorite sweetener instead.

Add Boba To Your Strawberry Matcha Latte
I love adding brown sugar boba to this matcha latte sometimes, because the sweet, caramel flavors adds to the creamy goodness. The chewy brown sugar boba you know and love is actually just 3 ingredients: Tapioca starch, water, and brown sugar! It’s a Taiwanese classic!
With the extra chewy boba, this matcha latte is just like a fruity milky dessert. Trust me, if you’d like a full boba shop experience, add some boba into your matcha latte.

What a lovely recipe — I love how the three layers (strawberry, milk, and matcha) make it feel so fancy yet simple. I plan to try this with oat milk and my homemade strawberry jam — I bet the fruity twist will pair beautifully with the matcha’s earthiness. Thanks for sharing this — it’s inspiring me to bring more bubble tea magic into my kitchen!
