Take A Citrus Black Tea Break While Cooking
I’m making some Golden Chicken Broth, and it takes a long time to simmer. In the mean time, I decided to make something yummy to drink: a refreshing Apple Citrus Black Tea. This fruit tea reminds me or all the teas I got to drink in Taiwan.
I love my tea breaks, and I love sipping this Apple Citrus Tea while smelling the chicken broth simmering in the background. It’s a sweet, tart way of reminding me of my time in Taiwan.
Apple Citrus Black Tea: Packed with Vitamin C
This Apple Citrus Black Tea is so good, and honestly so refreshing. With apple, oranges, and lemons, there’s plenty of vitamin A, B, and C to go around in this tea. You can use other fruits as well, and it will turn out just as nice. This tea is fruity, but aromatic from the toasted tea and sugar. Red sugar not only sweetens the tea, but it also helps promote the formation of blood cells since it contains vitamin B1, B3, B6, and C.

What Tea To Use For Citrus Black Tea
The base of this recipe is of course, black tea leaves. For this fruit tea recipe, I used a simple loose black tea leaf for my tea. For a more elegant bergamot aroma, you can use earl grey tea instead. I also love switching it up with green tea, oolong, or jasmine tea leaves, and it tastes just like citrus green tea in Taiwan!

Add Toppings To Make Your Tea More Fun
To make this yummy fruit tea more like the boba tea shops in Taiwan, you can add your own toppings! With fruit teas, you can always add chunks of cut fruit: apples, kiwi, watermelon, and more. It pairs so well with the tart flavors of fruit or coconut jellies. For some chew, I love adding some homemade brown sugar boba into my tea sometimes.
