Sipping Yakult Green Tea While Cooking
Cook with me for date night with my husband Dom! We’re a little homesick for Taiwan this week, so I’m making a ton of traditional Taiwanese foods. We are made Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, Crispy Green Onion Pancakes, and Green Onion Pancake Beef Rolls. Nothing is better than sharing a comfort meal with your loved ones!
I made this fruity Yakult Green Tea so I can stay refreshed while cooking all day today! It’s fruity, fresh, and delicious!
Yakult: Tasty Way to Drink Your Probiotics
The key to this fruit tea is Yakult. If you’ve never had Yakult, it is a probiotic yogurt drink popular in Asia. It’s a very light drink that’s a bit creamy yet tart and sweet. Growing up, this drink was often part of my afternoon snacks. Today, you can find Yakult added to boba tea or fruit juices in Taiwan, just like this recipe. The creamy sourness of Yakult remind me a little of sour candy, but mellows out into a fruity yogurt taste.

Making Yakult Fruit Tea with Your Favorite Fruits
I had some leftover mandarin oranges, so I decided to use them for my Yakult fruit tea today.
You can use any of your favorite fruits! Yakult green tea is super tasty with other juicy, tart fruits. My favorites are grapes, passionfruit, and oranges, but you can get creative.

Add Toppings To Make Your Tea More Fun
To make this yummy fruit tea more like the boba tea shops in Taiwan, you can add your own toppings!
With fruit teas, you can always add chunks of cut fruit: apples, kiwi, watermelon, and more. It pairs so well with the tart flavors of fruit or coconut jellies. For some chew, I love adding some homemade brown sugar boba into my tea sometimes.
