Welcome to Day 15 of Cooking 20 Minute Dinner for 21 Days! It’s Friday, and we are celebrating with Creamy Bacon Miso Udon because we all deserve it. What is there not to like about this dish? CRISPY Bacon, CREAMY umami miso sauce, chewy udon noodles, this is the perfect recipe for a Friday night dinner. If you are vegetarian, skip the bacon, and Creamy Miso Udon will be just as good!
Team UDON, I am back with another Udon recipe! I love cooking with udon because it cooks fast, has a fantastic texture, and is excellent at soaking in sauces. I had a Creamy Carbonara Udon a couple of years ago at Little Tokyo in LA, and I instantly fell in love. When I got back to Vancouver, I knew I had to recreate it, and by topping it with crispy bacon, not only does it add great texture, it also elevators the sauce to another level! I promise this Creamy Bason Miso Udon will blow your mind!
The secret ingredient Miso paste gives the Creamy Bacon Miso Udon all its umami flavor. Miso provides a salty yet rich flavor that cannot be replaced by another ingredient. You will never believe how simple it is to make Creamy Bacon Miso Udon by how creamy and rich the sauce is. If you are vegetarian, you can either skip the bacon, or I also have a Creamy Mushroom Udon that is also amazing!

⅓ cup of Parmesan Cheese
2 Egg Yolk
1/2 tbsp of Miso Paste

Can we use regular spaghetti if we don’t have udon available?
Yes for sure ❤️
This sounds so yummy! Thank you Tiffy! What would be a good substitute for bacon if we dont have any on hand? Thank you!!!
Hi ❤️ Shiitake Mushroom or pork belly would both work!
