Super EASY Taiwanese Breakfast Sandwich that hits the spot every single time! If you have been to Taiwan before, you will know how AMAZING the breakfast sandwiches are in Taiwan. It is a staple sandwich that takes less than 5 minutes to make with only FIVE ingredients. It may just seem like any other sandwich but trust me; there is a reason why when tourist gives Taiwanese Breakfast Sandwich a try that will have it EVERY SINGLE DAY during their trip. Trust me, If you know, you know!
The classic Taiwanese Breakfast Sandwich has fresh cucumber, a thin layer of mayo, slices of ham, and a perfectly fried egg! Many people also add pork floss as well (Rousong) since it pairs well with the mayo. Make a Taiwanese Breakfast Sandwich with my Homemade Soy Milk recipe and this will bring you right back to Taiwan!
Japanese Mayo is the key to making Taiwanese Breakfast Sandwich; people often ask me the main difference between western mayo and Japanese mayo. Japanese mayo is alot more “eggy” and has more of a custard-like texture since it is made with only egg yolks. It has a slight tang since it is made with also rice vinegar. I highly recommend getting Kewpie Mayo since it is the ONLY Asian mayo that I swear by. I will link it here on my website, or find it at most grocery markets in the Asian aisle.
