Air Fryer Bread Pudding (15 Minutes ONLY!)

This is the EASIEST dessert you can make in 20 minutes, crispy on top, jiggle, and soft on the inside!
Air Fryer Bread Pudding takes less than 20 minutes to make at home and is super delicious and affordable.
You can customize your Air Fryer Bread Pudding by adding other toppings such as ice cream, honey, raisins, coconut, or chocolate, but here is my easy four-ingredient dessert that you need to make this holiday season.

I’ll be the first to admit; I never liked bread pudding, I always found it too soggy, but this air fryer bread pudding is crispy on top while jiggly and soft on the inside.
All you need is bread, egg, milk, and sugar. Any bread will do the trick, but I personally love using milk bread, as it is super fluffy and buttery.
You can also make this recipe with gluten-free bread if you have a gluten allergy.
The best part is that you don’t need fresh bread to make this recipe; if you have stale bread in your pantry, you can also make this recipe!

Think of my Air Fryer Bread Pudding as the base of this recipe.
You can easily spice up this air fryer bread pudding by adding any other topping of your choice. I love adding a scoop of ice cream on top of the hot bread pudding and drizzling honey.
Other delicious substitutions include using coconut cream, adding chocolate chips or raisins, or even drizzling caramel; the choices are endless!

If you are in the market for an air fryer, I highly recommend checking out my blog post breaking down and comparing Amazon’s top 4 selling air fryers.
In my Air Fryer blog post, I compared price, size, and function and did a chicken wing crispiness test to see which air fryer performed best.
Spoiler alert, my personal faovirte after testing out all the air fryers is the Cosori Air Fryer. It also happens to be the most affordable option as well!

This recipe is what I’ve been looking for, super simple, toss together a few ingredients and pop it in the air fryer. I’ve not made it yet because I want to clarify the ingredients. It lists 2 slices toast, but the photo at the top of this post looks like regular white bread soaked in the egg custard before baking it.
Do you use 2 slices of toasted bread or two slices of bread that is not toasted?
Hi Doug, I think what I meant to say here is 2 slices of bread, so not toasted is totally fine!
I halved this to put in a square glass container as a one serving and it came out amazing. I added cinnamon and instead of milk, used heavy cream. I imagine it would be fantastic with regular milk too. Definitely a fantastic dessert recipe for the air fryer!
I’ll have to try this! Ironically, I’m having rn this instant a cup of coffee with ripped pieces of bread in it! Lol! Used to do this growing up, do it now in the winter of my life! I’ll try ur recipe soon!
This is brilliant. Super quick and very very delicious! I love bread and butter pudding and have tried a variety of different ones. So, as in bread and butter pudding, I buttered the bread first. I also soaked some raisins in rum sprinkled them between the bread. On another occasion I put chocolate chips between the bread. All were so good, as was the original recipe. Brilliant if you want a quick pudding. Thank you Tiffy.
I plan to make this tomorrow night. Looked up air fryer time and came across your recipe. It looks easier and yummier than the one from my old high school cook book. TIA 😋😋😋
A comfort dessert for a chilly night! We made different batches and all turned out perfectly well. One was with gluten free bread with mini chocolate chips, another without the chocolate chips. And one with honey wheat bread with mini chocolate chips, and another without the chocolate chips. Perfection! I’ll be experimenting with this recipe (espresso, vanilla extract, vanilla custard mix, nuts or raisins, heavy whipping cream) for the next few days, while my family’s new “quick dessert” obsession lasts. Thank you.
I loved this recipie it was so delicious, 5 stars for comfort and 5 for ease. I believe vanilla is essential in every dessert so I added it, and it made the whole difference.
