Creamy Mushroom Pasta (20 Minutes)

Creamy Mushroom Pasta

CALLING ALL MUSHROOM LOVERS, you need to try my 20 minutes Creamy Mushroom Pasta!

If you love mushrooms, my Creamy Mushroom Pasta is the perfect recipe for you.

This Creamy Mushroom Pasta is rich, creamy, savory, and packed with umami flavors that will have you craving more.

Creamy Mushroom Pasta

Inspired by my creamy risotto recipe, my Japanese Creamy Mushroom Pasta is also delicious and easy to make at home.

I already love mushroom pasta, but adding soy sauce, dashi stock, and shiitake mushroom sold it for me. If you like fusion food, this recipe is for you!

I am using instant Dashi today, but you can also make dashi from scratch. You can also add other mushrooms, such as shemiji and oyster mushrooms.

If you are vegetarian, swap out my dashi powder for miso paste instead! It will also provide the umami flavor you are looking for.

You can use any pasta of your choice when making Creamy Mushroom Pasta.

I am using Trader Joe’s Gigli Pasta today, but I also made it with fettuccini, spaghetti, and udon noodles!

If you are gluten-free, you can use gluten-free pasta, or I also have a risotto recipe that is also super delicious!

For mushrooms, I am using shiitake mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, and shemiji mushrooms.

You can customize it with any mushroom of your choice; however, I highly recommend finding shiitake mushrooms, as they add savory umami flavors that cannot be found in other mushrooms.

Creamy Mushroom Pasta is perfect for date night!

We paired it with my Miso-Glazed Salmon made in an air fryer for date night, along with my 3 minutes Instant Pot Creme Brule for dessert.

Not only is it more affordable to have a 3-course meal date night at home, but it also is healthier and tastes WAY better!

  1. Wow!!! This was SO good. I used miso paste to keep it veg and a package of TJ’s gnocchi instead of plain pasta. So easy to prep and so tasty! Thank you so much for the recipe!

  2. 🤤 Yum! It’s been 2 days straight that I’ve been creating your recipes in my kitchen with much success. This recipe is very delicious, and yesterday I made the your Garlic Butter Fried Rice. Both were delicious.

  3. 5 stars
Super tasty! I used baby bella and went heavy handed on yellow onion since I didn’t have shallots but I love onion. Everything else was the same as the recipe. My 5yo ate this and said “I like mushrooms now!”. Also great with a bit of sriracha for zip and tang. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
