Fly EVA Air Business Class With Me to Singapore
Fly with me on Business Class for the first time with Eva Air to one of my favorite places in the world: Singapore! I’m off to my my dream brand trip with Love, Bonito and the Singapore Tourism Board, and I’m sharing with you every step of the way. Don’t forget to check out my full week in Singapore VLOG! Today, I start my journey from Vancouver Airport (YVR) to Singapore (SIN), with a 2 hour layover in Taiwan!
My Flight Itinerary: Vancouver, Taipei, Singapore
It’s been 7 years since I’ve been back in Singapore! Last time, Dom and I did a Southeast Asia tour right after we graduated and I fell in love! I had to come back to Singapore some day.
My flight to Singapore today is with Eva Air, a pretty popular Taiwanese airline. I’ve often heard that they have really good food, and I’m excited to try that out. In total, I’ll be in an airplane for about 16 hours! Here’s my flight itinerary, click to skip down!:
- 12 Hours: Vancouver (YVR) to Taipei(TPE)
- 2 Hours: Layover in TPE
- 4 Hours: Taipei (TPE) to Singapore (SIN)
Vancouver To Taipei – First Time Flying Business Class
My flight to Taipei was a late one, but the boarding process was smooth. The Eva Air business class seats are extra padded and angle in for more legroom. It has a big tv screen right in front of you, and a panel of buttons and remotes for your seat area next to you. It’s a lot more space for someone who tosses and turns on a flight like me. Plus, the perfect little reading light!
Champagne was served soon after we lifted off, and I relaxed into my seat for the next 12 hours.
Dinner: Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup Set
Dinner service began soon after, and the service was above and beyond! To start, nuts and glasses of champagne are served while we chose our dinner from a BIG menu. This business class menu had SO MANY food options, I almost couldn’t choose. Of course, if we’re flying to Taiwan, I had to have the beef noodle soup set.
Each set comes with a few side dishes and a dessert. For the set that i ordered, i got a Beef Noodle Soup with a generous heap of beef chunks and Chinese broccoli. The broth was clean yet quite rich, and super beefy. For sides, we got some Stir Fry Veggies and Tofu and a refreshing Spicy Cucumber.
After main course is finished, the dishes are cleared away and dessert is served. For this flight, seasonal mixed fruit with chocolate dome cake. It was a great way to end the meal!
I’m so surprised to say that Eva Air’s business class meal is actually REALLY GOOD. For airplane food, I’d give this set an 8.5 out of 10! I didn’t even know airplane meals can be this tasty. Even on an airplane, you felt like you were getting restaurant service.
Passing Time With Our Book Club Reads
As meal service ends, everyone settled in for some rest. The lights darken, and the ceiling of the plane starts to sparkle with lightly lit stars. I’m OBSESSED with them! They’re a beautiful way to put the plane into sleep mode.
I’ve brought along Betting On You by Lynn Painter to finish during my travels and to discuss it for our upcoming book club. I’ve been so excited to finish this book! I got to a good point, but in the dark lighting, I couldn’t resist falling asleep for the rest of the flight. Check out what I’m reading now!

Breakfast: Traditional Taiwanese Congee Set
Before landing there was another breakfast service. For this meal, I ordered the Traditional Taiwanese congee set. It comes with a bowl of plain congee with steamed asparagus, egg cake, pork floss, snap peas and tofu. It was such a light, healthy meal after such a long time sitting still. The meal ended with some fresh seasonal fruit, which is really refreshing in a dry airplane cabin.
Layover In Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
If you can have a layover anywhere, Taiwan is a great place to choose! The Taoyuan International Airport has a bunch of delicious restaurants, souvenir shops, and luxury stores to browse. I only have a 2 hour layover here today, so I grabbed a quick Taiwan beer while waiting for my flight. If I had more space in my stomach, I’d grab a meal here at the Taoyuan Airport for sure!
Taipei To Singapore – Short Flight, Amazing Food!
The boarding process for the flight to Singapore was equally as smooth as the 1st. Flying from Taipei to Singapore only takes about 4 hours. Because I slept most of the last flight, I’m really setting a goal to finish my book on this one. The seats for this flights were identical to the last, so they’re still just as comfy, and the champagne came just as quickly!
Lunch: Din Tai Fung Beef Noodles On The Airplane
I love Din Tai Fung anywhere, but can you believe I had it on an airplane? I saw the Din Tai Fung Beef Noodle Soup on the business class menu, and knew I had to try! The set comes with a bowl of the Beef Noodle Soup, with a side of stir fried chayote vine and salted chicken.
Their Din Tai Fung Beef Noodles might be one of the best meals I’ve ever had on a plane. The noodle soup comes with large chunks of tendon and beef, and the noodles were nice and chewy. It was so delicious!
Landing In Singapore!
I finished my book as we landed in Singapore, and I’m excited to start my Singapore adventures!
I have to say, for my very first Business Class experience, I was not at all disappointed by the food and service! All the meals were absolutely delicious, and the flight was so comfortable. For someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy flying, I was definitely pampered for over 20 hours flying with Eva Air! If you’re looking for a more spoiled international flight experience, definitely try Business Class with Eva Air~.
