I don’t want to be dramatic, but this Garlic Butter Fried Rice is seriously SO delicious and SO easy to make at home.
Buttery and savory, Garlic Butter Fried Rice takes only 20 minutes to make and pairs perfectly with everything.
This Fried rice recipe is vegetarian-friendly, but you can customize it by adding any protein, such as chicken, shrimp, or pork!
Garlic Butter Fried Rice is one of my go-to recipes to make when I want to spice up any weeknight dinner.
With just a few simple steps, the garlic instantly elevates plain white rice but is also subtle enough to pair perfectly with any side dishes.
PLUS, Garlic Butter Fried Rice also tastes fantastic the next day, so it is perfect for meal-prepping.
One of my favorite methods to cook Garlic Butter Fried Rice is making “golden” rice.
The “golden fried rice method” is my grandma’s secret trick. Separate the egg yolk and the egg white.
Add the Egg yolk to the rice before pan-frying, mix well to ensure every grain of rice is coated in the egg yolk. This step ensures that fried rice comes out beautifully golden every single time.
I’ll be honest, the secret to DELICIOUS Garlic Butter Fried Rice or any fried rice, in general, is adding a generous amount of OIL.
The more fat you add, the easier it is the “fry” the fried rice, and therefore, it prevents the rice from getting soggy.
This recipe uses both butter and oil. If you are dairy-free, you can also substitute with duck lard.
