Soy Glazed Chicken (20 Minutes ONLY!)

Soy Glazed Chicken (20 Minutes ONLY!)

Soy Glazed Chicken is the perfect weeknight dinner that takes only 20 minutes.

All you need is a few simple ingredients to make delicious Soy Glazed Chicken that is crispy and juicy at the same time!

Get your rice ready because you will want to drizzle the addicting sauce all over your rice and vegetable.

crispy chicken

Here is my secret tip on making Soy Glazed Chicken that is crispy and juicy.

First, you will need boneless chicken thighs with the skin on. Deboning chicken thigh is super easy, or you can also ask your local butcher to do it for you.

Next, pat dry the chicken and add a thin layer of corn starch. The corn starch will help crisp up the skin and lock in all the juices from the chicken.

Lastly, pan-fry the chicken skin side facing down first and make sure to not put the lid on. You can enjoy the chicken on its own or pair it with my glazed soy sauce.

Soy Glazed Chicken (20 Minutes ONLY!)

You will not believe how addicting Soy Glazed Chicken is.

The star of the recipe is the glazed soy sauce. You will need soy sauce, five-spice powder, minced garlic, and honey.

The leftover chicken oil also adds alot of umami flavor to the sauce.

PRO-TIP, after you are done cooking the chicken, use the leftover oil and seasoning to pan-fry your vegetables.

Very good recipe. Mine came about just a bit bland, though. I am thinking maybe adding something to give it a bit of kick, like a bit of wasabi sauce.
