My Whimsical Race Day Outdoor Makeup
Iโm running my first full marathon at the Vancouver Marathon this year! It has been a really, really difficult journey training for this race, but Iโm so glad I did it! From testing nutrition to daily runs, weโll see the results of our months of preparation today. Since itโs race day, we have done all that we can do right now to prep for the race. Now we can just focus on having fun. Domโs already bleached his hair, and Iโm going to get some fun glitter make up on as well!
Getting ready and putting on makeup is actually my favorite part, both during my day-to-day, and on race day. This is the time that I digest my food and also fully wake up before my next event. Today, since Iโll be out in the sun running, Iโm doing an easy make up look that protects me from the sun, doesnโt come off with sweat, but also looks super fun and cute.
What I Used

Cle de Peau Sunscreen
Since itโs going to be so hot while weโre running, so sunscreen is a must. I put on a layer of Cle de Peau Beaute Protective UV Cream SPF 50+. Itโs my current go-to sunscreen that also moisturizes your skin.

Elta MD BB Cream
Next, I put on a layer of Elta MD UV Daily Hydration + Tinted SPF 50. This is a BB Cream that also has a lot of UV protection. Iโm doubling up because I wonโt have time to reapply. Plus, this will give me a good base for my makeup.

Patrick Ta bronzer & Eyes
Next, I use Patrick Ta Crรจme Contour and Powder Bronzer Duo to shape out my face. I’m also going to add a little bit of bronzer on the top of my eyes for a little eyeshadow. This is my easy contour palette whenever I want to go a little more natural.

Rhode Blush
Iโm adding a bit of color on my cheeks with my favorite Rhode Pocket Blush. I love how compact it is, and how easy this is to apply. I use the color Sprinkle, which gives me a rosy flush.

Fwee Blush
Next, we’re also going to use a Fwee Mellow Dual Blush as well. Each plus comes with 2 different colors: a base and a point color. But today, Iโm using the base color to give me a little glow. Thereโs 12 different color sets to this blush as well!

Etude Eyeliner
Next, Iโm just going to line up my eyes with Etude Line Fix Brush Liner, my favorite. The brush makes it easy and sharp. This will stay on the whole time Iโm running, no budging at all!

Etude Mascara Primer
I like using the same brand for mascara base, the Etude Dr. Mascara Fixer. This is a lash primer. Using this first helps your mascara stay curled longer. I really like using their base and then layer my other mascaras on top.

KISSME Heroine Make Mascara
Next, I layer the KISSME Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara right on top. This is another brand that I’m obsessed with when it comes to mascara. It is super super waterproof, perfect to combat all the sweat. And, it keeps my curls for longer.

Maybelline Mascara
Then my third and final mascara, I use the Maybelline Sky High. This mascara makes my lashes look extra long, and keeps them from clumping.

Fazit Glitter Tattoo
Iโm adding these Fazit Makeup Patches Silver Freckles to make things extra fun for the race. This was easy to apply, just wet with a damp towel for 60 seconds, and peel off the paper. I actually loved it. It was a lot easier than putting glitter on my face last year, and it lasted through the race!
