Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Bagel Sandwich

Let’s make a ham, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel sandwich that reminds me of the bagel sandwiches I loved so much in Old Montreal. Made with my mom’s fluffy Japanese Bagel recipe, this bagel sandwich starts with a crispy sesame bagel, topped with soft scrambled egg, a slice of cheese, and some ham. Since I’m making a huge Christmas Eve Dinner, this easy egg sandwich will be the easiest way to get my day started in 15 minutes!

Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Bagel made with Japanese Bagels you can keep in the freezer

Protein Packed Breakfast Sandwich to Start Your Day

This particular morning, the day before Christmas Eve, I decided on a quick bagel breakfast sandwich. It’s made with one of my mom’s sesame seed Japanese bagel, toasted to crispy perfection. I added some fluffy scrambled eggs with a slice of melty cheddar cheese that makes it mouthwateringly gooey. Finally, some sliced ham on top, perfect to round out my sandwich. Every bite is creamy, salty, and fragrant with sesame. Of course, you can’t forget an Oatmilk Matcha Latte to complete this protein-packed breakfast.

Japanese Bagels: The Best Bagel For Sandwiches

I love using my momโ€™s fool proof Japanese bagels for my breakfast sandwiches. There’s tons of different flavors you can make that pairs well with the ham, cheese, and eggs. They’re crispy on the outside and so soft and chewy on the inside. Plus, they are oil-free, dairy-free, and low on sugar!

I always have some of these Japanese bagels in the freezer, so making this breakfast sandwich is so quick and convenient in the morning! If you don’t have time to bake your own Japanese bagels, any store bought bagels work just fine. I’d definitely recommend you taking the time next time for some home baked bagel sandwiches.
