Healthy Chocolate Shell Raspberry Chia Yogurt Bowl
Here’s a healthy Chocolate Raspberry Chia Yogurt Bowl with a crackling chocolate shell that’s been my favorite dessert to make recently. Lightly sweetened with honey, this raspberry chia yogurt may taste just like a sweet treat, but is also a high fiber, high protein snack. In one bite, you get tart, fruity yogurt with that smooth chocolate and the slight crunch of flaky salt. It only takes less than 10 minutes, and there’s no cooking or baking involved! It’s tangy, sweet, and chocolatey – the perfect combo.

Healthy Ways to Curb Your Sweet Tooth
This week is Dom’s birthday, and after a massive grocery shopping trip to prepare for his birthday feast of Oxtail Soup and Taiwanese Short Rib Stew, I’m craving something sweet. I’ve been really enjoying making wholesome fruit desserts that satisfy my sweet tooth, and this high protein, high fiber Raspberry Yogurt Bowl is it.
I can’t be the only one who has been tricked by healthy dessert recipes online that end up tasting not very good. I promise, this raspberry yogurt bowl is actually so yummy. The chocolate shell on top makes it seem like a cafe dessert. It’s 100% worth trying. It takes less than 10 minutes to put together. Plus, you don’t have to bake or cook anything.
Chocolate Raspberry Yogurt Bowl Ingredients
- 1 cup raspberries
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 3/4 cup Greek Yogurt
- 2 tsp honey
Chocolate Shell
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp coconut oil

Raspberries Chia Yogurt
The bowl’s base is a blend of creamy Greek yogurt, raspberries, honey and nutrient-packed chia seeds — a trio that is high in both fiber and protein. Raspberries, in particular, are high in antioxidants as well!
The best part? It’s thick, satisfying, and just tart enough to balance the richness of the chocolate shell. The chia seeds soak up some of the yogurt so they get nice and plump, and gives the bowl a nice crunch. You don’t have to only use raspberries for this recipe. Making this bowl with other fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or kiwi makes it just as tasty!

Chocolate Coconut Magic Shell
The most special part of this dessert bowl is that hardened chocolate shell on top. This yummy shell is pure and simple—just dark chocolate chips and coconut oil, nothing more. It melts into a luscious drizzle that hardens into a snappy, glossy shell after freezing. There’s just something about cracking the chocolate with a spoon that makes it feel so satisfying and decadent. It’s a really fun way to level up any dessert, from yogurt to ice cream!

Flaky Sea Salt
To really finish it off, I like to sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top. It might seem like a small thing, but that salty bite hits just right with the dark chocolate. It balances out the sweetness, brings out the sweet berry flavor, and gives the whole dessert a little extra flair. The crunch from the salt adds a nice contrast to the creamy yogurt and the hardened shell. It’s one of those simple touches that just adds so much to the whole bowl.
