I am sharing my favorite easy and healthy Asian dinner recipe – Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp.
Faster than takeout AND healthy, this Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir-fry is the perfect weeknight dinner that takes less than 20 minutes to prepare.
Juicy shrimp, fresh vegetables, sauteed in a spicy garlic sauce, Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp tastes good on rice, noodles, or even on its own.
My husband and I are on a journey to adding more vegetables to our diet, which is why I love this Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir-fry as it makes every vegetable tastes fantastic.
I am using red pepper and snap peas today, but you can also add any vegetable of your choice, such as broccoli, carrots, Brussel sprouts, and baby corn.
Depending on which vegetable you choose, you may need to adjust the cooking time.
Let’s talk about what makes this Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp SO addicting, the sauce.
Drizzle this addicting sauce on anything, and it will taste amazing.
All you need is Honey, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Garlic, and Korean Red Chili Paste. Depending on your spice level, you can increase the Korean Red Chili Paste to your liking.
Remember that Korean red chili paste is salty, so adjust with honey to balance out the savouriness. If you have a gluten allergy, you can also use Gluten-Free Soy sauce and Oyster Sauce.
Here is a little tip if you want to spice up your Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir-fry, add in sausages.
After I made this recipe a few times, I had left sausages in the fridge. Slice up the sausage and add it in at the same time as the vegetables.
The spicy garlic sauce paired perfectly with the sausages and added more protein to the dish.
