Similar to bolognese sauce, Taiwanese Meat Sauce freezes well, so I always make it in bulk.

I recommend separating the meat sauce into your desired serving sizes. You can use either ziplock bags, containers, or reusable freezer bags.

How To Freeze & Prepare Taiwanese Meat Sauce:

  • To Freeze: Let the Taiwanese Meat Sauce cool completely before transferring it into freezer bags. Make sure always to squeeze out any excess air. Place it in the freezer and freeze for up to 2 months.
  • To Reheat: Defrost the Meat Sauce in the fridge overnight. Pout the sauce in a pot and heat the sauce over the stove at medium heat. If the sauce is too thick, add ½ cup of water and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
