This Sandwich is Perfect For Juicy Tomatoes

When it comes to sandwiches, the key is fresh ingredients, no shortcuts. Yesterday when I was at the grocery store, I found these beautiful massive tomatoes. They are the same size as my hands – so juicy and delicious. I think these will pair perfectly with my mom’s homemade bread. So, for lunch I’m making a quick tomato mozzarella sandwich.

To give them an extra pop of flavor, I’ve seasoned a bunch of tomato slices with salt and pepper. This gives them some extra flavor in the sandwich, but I’m also going to much on the rest of them later as a snack too!

Getting The Ideal Cheesy Mozzarella Melt

For me, the perfect sandwich is all about balance. With the freshness of the vegetables and the juiciness of the tomatoes, we need something creamy to bring everything together and add a rich contrast. That’s where the mozzarella comes in!

Today, I used slices of fresh balls of mozzarella, because they’re just the best way of enjoying the truly creamy flavors of this cheese. You can also used shredded mozzarella, or any other cheese that melts easily. I’m using a blowtorch because it’s just easier to get that caramelized, melty flavor on top.
