Viral Coconut Matcha Cloud at Home!

Let’s make a TikTok viral Coconut Matcha Cloud at home! This drink looks super beautiful with the bright green layers, and tastes even better. It is made of coconut water topped with a thick layer of matcha cold foam. This cafe drink actually only takes a few ingredients to make in your own kitchen. It’s refreshing, delicious, and actually good for your gut!

Refreshingly Tropical Coconut Matcha Cloud

This Coconut Matcha Cloud might be the most refreshing way of making matcha. Matcha cloud isn’t a traditional way of making a matcha drink. It’s a fun café twist that’s become super popular on TikTok lately. Instead of just mixing matcha straight into milk or water, it’s whipped into a fluffy matcha foam. Then, this foam is poured gently on top of clear coconut water for beautiful green layer. The result is a light, airy, slightly creamy matcha drink that’s super gut-friendly.

Matcha Cloud Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Heavy Cream or cream of your choice
  • 3 tbsp Milk or milk of your choice
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Matcha Powder sifted
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Water

Matcha Cold Foam

The Matcha Cold Foam for this coconut drink is a little different from the matcha or vanilla cold foam I’d usually whip up for a latte. Since the Coconut Matcha Cloud relies on this foam as the main source of matcha flavor, I double the amount of matcha powder so the earthy notes really shine through. The result is extra frothy, creamy, and packed with that vibrant matcha taste.

While it’s perfect layered over coconut water here, you can also use this stronger foam on top of iced green teas, sparkling water for a fun twist, or even as a cream cap on fruit teas for something that feels like a boba shop drink at home.

Coconut Water

Coconut water is the base for this healthy matcha drink. Since starting marathon training, I’ve been much more aware of how to keep my body hydrated. Coconut water is super high in electrolytes like potassium and magnesium. In fact, it has more than a banana. It is low in calories but still packed with antioxidants that keeps your heart heathy.

Besides all those healthy benefits, this healthy drink has a light natural sweetness that matches the earthy matcha. It’s both refreshing, and super hydrating.

How To Make Coconut Matcha Cloud

  1. In a cup, combine milk, cream, and sugar. Sift in the matcha powder.
  2. Whisk with an electric whisk until smooth and frothy.
  3. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the coconut water.
  4. Gently pour the matcha mixture over the coconut water to create layers.
