Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice

Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice

I AM NOT KIDDING when I tell you that my husband DEVOURED bowls of this delicious savory Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice.

Simple, easy, and delicious Black Pepper Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice with many secret tips on making tender beef every single time.

Who doesn’t love a delicious and easy one-pot dinner?

Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Combing my love for fried rice and beef and broccoli stir fry to make my super easy black pepper beef and broccoli fried rice.

This recipe is perfect for meal prepping as the meat stays tender the next day, and fried rice gets even more flavourful.

If you are making this recipe in bulk, I recommend preparing it in batches to ensure every grain of rice is coated in the savory and tangy glaze.

how to make fried rice

You will need soy sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, black pepper, and sugar for the delicious restaurant-quality Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice Glaze.

The secret is ketchup, as it provides the perfect acidity and sweetness for the sauce.

I am doing the classic stir-fry with broccoli, but you can also add in other vegetables.

I’ve made Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice with baby corn, red pepper, carrots, cabbage, and green pepper before, and it tasted amazing!

Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice

The key to perfect fried rice is using COLD, DAY OLD Rice.

Please don’t use fresh rice as it will turn mushy. Before frying, I like to break the rice apart with my hands; it cuts down the cooking time, and each grain will get coated in the sauce.

For those that are lazy, order take-out rice for $1 and fry up Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice the next day.

tips for tender beef

Here are a few secrets to SUPER TENDER Beef and Broccoli Fried Rice every single time!

  1. The first one is baking soda.

I got this secret from a good friend who works at a Chinese restaurant; it is honestly a game-changer. No more eating tough beef at home, and hello to juicy, tender, silky beef!

  1. The second tip is cutting against the grain and diagonally.

Always cut against the grain and sideways to get thin slices. With this tip, it doesn’t matter what type of steak you get; it will turn out perfect every time!

  1. The final tip is to freeze the beef for 30 minutes before slicing it. This step will make it 100x easier to cut the meat.

About Me
Hi! I am Tiffy and I am a HUGE foodie. I love to cook, I love to eat, and I love sharing what I love with the world.
I was born in Taiwan, a country with some of the best street food in the world. When I think back to my childhood, I remember all the fantastic restaurants my dad brought me to when I was young. You see, my family is also huge foodies; we use to wander around night markets every weekend, skip the last period in class to try out new restaurants, and every summer, we would travel around Taiwan exploring all the new “must try” dishes around the country.
