Another Go-To Daily Healthy Drink
Here is another one of my go-to daily drinks: Fizzy Blueberry Chia Soda. It’s just the right amount of sweet and sour. It’s a great way to have a refreshing drink without any high fructose corn syrup. With the homemade blueberry jam that we make for this recipe, you know exactly every ingredient that goes into this drink. It’s easy to make in bulk and ahead of time, so you can have this easy healthy drink anytime during the day.
Blueberry Chia Drink Ingredients
- Soda Water
- Optional: Blueberry juice
Jam
- 2 cups of blueberries ( frozen or fresh)
- 2.5 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp sugar

Blueberry Chia Jam
This super simple blueberry chia jam is the key to having this fizzy drink anytime. It’s not just great for drinks, but actually a great condiment for breakfast or snacks! This blueberry chia jam is the perfect thing to enjoy with a fluffy piece of milk bread or Honey Castella Cake. You can also use this as p

Blueberries
The star of the jam is of course, blueberries. These deliciously tart berries are high in both antioxidants and vitamin C, which boosts your immune system. For this recipe, you can use frozen or fresh blueberries. Frozen blueberries will take a bit longer to cook, and tend to be sweeter. If you’re using fresh blueberries, make sure to taste it and adjust the amount of sugar as needed.
You can add other fruits, herbs, or berries at this step to make your jam flavors more creative. Add some strawberries and blackberries for wildberry mix. Or, add some mint to make it a refreshing blueberry mint jam.

Sugar
I wrote out this recipe using sugar, but you can use any of your favorite sweeteners. Today I used monk fruit sweetener instead of sugar, but feel free to use anything, even honey! Monk fruit gives it that same sweetness without the weird aftertaste from common sweeteners. Just add the same amount state in the recipe, and adjust if needed.

Chia Seeds
A secret ingredient I have in this jam for an extra healthy boost is chia seeds. Chia seeds are super high in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. When soaked in water, chia seeds absorbs up to 10x its weight, expanding into little gel bubbles. They’re great to add to drinks, yogurt bowls, or quick breakfast smoothies, because they keep you full for much longer. If you’re not a fan of its naturally slimy texture, feel free to skip these!

Soda Water
I love making fruit drinks with the combination of jam and soda water. It’s fruity and bubbly, without any extra sugar! To make my drink extra blueberry today, I’m also adding blueberry juice. If you want to switch things up, you can also make this into iced tea instead. Use a cold jasmine, oolong, or black tea to go with your blueberry chia jam to make a yummy Blueberry Chia Tea.
